This is How We Do It: a Playbook for RIM Success
Joe Shepley

RIM best practices have been around for a long time ("paper free in 93"), but, judging by how few organizations actually practice systematic retention and disposition according to their retention schedule, you wouldn't know it. In this session, Joe Shepley, who runs Alvarez & Marsal's Information Risk and Governance practice, and Matt Krengle, Esq., a partner at Cooley who focuses on information retention, share a road-tested, practical approach for getting RIM right, from setting the foundation of a proper RIM policy and retention schedule, to addressing go-forward and legacy information systematically across the enterprise. With plenty of "ripped from real life" stories of what works and what doesn't and specific next steps to take, you'll leave this session energized and empowered to evolve your RIM program.
Joe Shepley is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Chicago. He specializes in information governance and data privacy.
