The Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) give individuals (also known as data subjects) the right to discover what data an organization is holding about them, why they are holding that data and who else their data and other personal information is disclosed to. These Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) can prove costly and challenging for a company to respond to.

In this session, Joe Pirrotta, SVP of Legal Services at Forrest Solutions (NYC, NY) will outline the rights of a Data Subject under CPA and share best practices for how to respond to a DSAR in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.

Joe Pirrotta is Senior Vice President of Forrest Solutions Legal Services, where he assists clients on issues related to the intersection of data privacy, cybersecurity and cross-border litigation. Joe regularly speaks, writes and shares his insights on leveraging big data analytics and AI to transform the practice of law. Joe earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and previously served as head of Conduent’s Legal Product Portfolio and Vice President of Integreon’s onshore managed document review service. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
