This session will focus on business continuity and continuity of operations (COOP). Continuity is the capability of organizations to provide essential functions/services to their stakeholders in times of emergency, disaster, or any other period that disrupts their normal operations until such time that normal operations can be restored. As emergencies, disasters, and other disruptions have continued to increase in an ever connected and globalized world, continuity is a vital capability for any organization to maintain so when “someday is today” organizations can still provide their essential services to their stakeholders and recover faster with minimized negative impacts.

Participants will learn about:

  • The differences between business continuity and continuity of operations
  • Hallmark principles that compose the field of continuity
  • Continuity resources and where to locate official guidance
  • How to utilize continuity concepts to improve their specific work
  • How we can collaborate with their local OEM for further guidance if needed

This meeting is pre approved for one (1) IGP Risk Management CEU.
